I love it! I love that every day can be a little messing around if you want to do that. Sometimes I don't think I have enough time to myself to really think through what it is. I want to do, but then I realize nothing is all that important :-)
I too have come to love a day where I have nothing pre-planned. I usually find gratitude for the end of such a day for the unexpected discoveries. Our culture frowns on it but I was reminded of the Italian concept of Dolce Far Niente - the sweetness of doing nothing on our latest trip. Also, I agree that travel does not solve everything. SNL did a great skit about “Same Sad You” a few years ago that speaks to that.
